Epidemiology Committee works towards increasing base level epidemiologic capacity within NIPHC member agencies and the region to effectively address priority public health issues. The committee uses epidemiology and data access capacity to help identify and analyze regional public health issues, raise awareness, propose solutions, and drive policy.

• Conducting an assessment of commonalities in member health department IPLAN priorities, indicators, and strategies- identifying the potential alignments or areas for coordination at a regional level 

• Developed a tool to survey epidemiology capacity among NIPHC health departments, including an examination of current staffing, competencies and workforce development needs.
